Send files from your own Cloudflare.

Valise sets up a private file-transfer service in your Cloudflare account — an R2 bucket and a Worker — with one sign-in and one click. Drop files, get a link. The person you send it to needs nothing but a browser.

  • No egress fees
  • Links expire in 1, 7 or 30 days
  • No telemetry

How it works

One sign-in, one click, then just links.

You could build this yourself: a bucket, a Worker, a binding, secrets, lifecycle rules. Valise does it for you, and keeps it working.

  1. 1

    Sign in with Cloudflare

Approve access on Cloudflare’s own page. If you would rather not grant OAuth, paste an API token instead.

  2. 2

    Set up, once

Valise shows what it will create — an R2 bucket with expiry rules, a Worker, an upload secret, a workers.dev address — then creates it in one click. It never overwrites a Worker that is not its own.

  3. 3

    Drop your files

Drop files or a folder on the window and choose when the link expires: 1, 7 or 30 days. Valise uploads them to your bucket in parallel parts, with progress.

  4. 4

    Send the link

The link is on your clipboard when the upload finishes. Your recipient opens it in any browser and downloads each file. No account, no app, no JavaScript needed.

What makes it different

File transfer without the size cap, the ads or the middleman.

Your account, your files

Files go into an R2 bucket in your Cloudflare account and are served by a Worker running there. Nobody between you and your recipient holds them — not even us.

No egress fees

R2 charges nothing for downloads, so a 20 GB transfer downloaded fifty times costs the same as one downloaded once. Storage past R2’s free 10 GB is billed by Cloudflare, on your plan.

Links that expire

Choose 1, 7 or 30 days per transfer. Cloudflare’s lifecycle rules delete the files, and your Worker refuses an expired link without waiting for them. Delete a transfer early from the app.

Passwords, with Pro

Lock a transfer behind a password. Your recipient types it once; your Worker keeps only a salted hash of it. Password protection is part of Valise Pro.

From the iPhone share sheet

On iPhone, choose Valise in the share sheet. The link is copied straight away, and the upload carries on in the background after the sheet closes.

No size cap of ours

Valise sets no transfer limit. The only ceilings are R2’s own, which reach hundreds of gigabytes per file. Large files go up in parts, several at once.

Your files

A sealed bag, carried by you.

The name comes from the valise diplomatique, the sealed bag that crosses borders unopened. Here the bag is your own Cloudflare account, and nobody between you and your recipient holds the files.

The details are in the privacy policy.

  • Two destinations, nothing else

Valise talks to Cloudflare’s API, api.cloudflare.com, and to your own Worker. No server of ours, no analytics, no telemetry.

  • Secrets stay in the Keychain

Your Cloudflare sign-in, the Worker’s upload secret and your setup details are kept in the Keychain on your device, and are not synced through iCloud.

  • Links nobody can guess

Each link carries 128 random bits. The download page runs no scripts and sets no cookie, except on a password-protected transfer, where one cookie for that transfer remembers the right password.

Valise is on its way.

It is not on the App Store yet, and its price is not set. Tell us what you would send with it, or what would stop you from using it — it shapes what ships first.
